The EcoWorm Consortium

The EcoWorm consortium was funded by NERC to investigate the genomic and transcriptomic responses of Lumbricus rubellus and Caenorhabditis elegans toexposure to a number of important organic and inorganic pollutants and environmental contaminants.

Over the four yers of the programme, we generated expressed sequence tags for L. rubellus, analysed these for their gene content, built novel microarrays for L. rubellus and C. elegans, conducted extensive exposure experiments with both species, and then used the microarrays to explore gene expression changes under these exposures.

Theroject is now finished, and this part of earthworms.org contains a 'historical' record of the project's progress in the form of documents and images produced.
